According to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Americans ate 14.6 pounds of seafood on average in 2012, down from 16.5 pounds in 2006, Nation's Restaurant News reported Nov. 11.
The data showed that most of that decline has occurred since the economic collapse of 2008.
