LONDON , November 12, 2013 () – UK-based private equity firm CBPE C apital has acquired glass bottle maker Allied Glass in a deal thought to be worth between GBP120mn and GBP130mn. The bottle company primarily produces glass bottles for multinational beverage company Diageo's brands, including Johnnie Walker whisky and Smirnoff vodka. CBPE previously acquired Allied Glass from its parent Associated British Food in 2002; however, in 2010, CBPE sold its share in Allied to private equity firm Equistone Partners for GBP75mn. The firm has now repurchased its stake from Equistone
