DALLAS , October 23, 2013 (press release) – K-C is No. 6 in Great Place to Work Institute's annual survey of global companies

Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) has been ranked No. 6 among "The World's Best Multinational Workplaces" for 2013 in one of the largest and most respected annual studies of workplace excellence and corporate management practices. Kimberly-Clark has received top honors in the survey for three straight years, and again ranks highest among all global consumer-products companies included in the survey.

"We're honored to receive this award because it truly represents the pride and dedication of our employees around the world to create a world-class culture," said Liz Gottung, chief human resources officer, Kimberly-Clark. "They inspire us to continue raising the bar in everything we do to unleash the power of our people."

This latest recognition follows several international awards Kimberly-Clark has received from the Great Place to Work Institute this year, including placing among the top five in the following countries:

No. 1 in Bolivia, Honduras and Nicaragua
No. 2 in Brazil and El Salvador
No. 3 in Guatemala
No. 4 in Panama, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic
"Behind our great brands are even greater people," said Sergio Nacach, president, Kimberly-Clark Latin America. "We work hard daily to strengthen our winning culture, where every employee is passionately committed to our mission of providing — through innovation — essentials for daily life to billions of people worldwide."

Since launching the first best workplaces lists in partnership with FORTUNE magazine in the United States and Exame in Brazil in 1997, Great Place to Work Institute now recognizes leading workplaces in 45 countries.

In late 2012 and early 2013, Great Place to Work® analyzed data from 6,200 companies, which represent a combined total of more than 11.9 million employees. The survey measures their opinions about their employers' practices in categories such as credibility, fairness, respect, pride and camaraderie. 517 companies appeared on national "best workplaces" lists, from which 37 were considered for this year's "World's Best Multinational Workplaces" list that featured Kimberly-Clark among 25 "best of the best" employers.
