United States Patent no. 8,563,833, issued on Oct. 22, was assigned to Monsanto Technology LLC (St. Louis).
"Plants and seeds of hybrid corn variety CH964539" was invented by Marvin L. Boerboom (Olivia, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the hybrid corn variety designated CH964539. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CH964539, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CH964539 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to genetic complements of plants of variety CH964539."
The patent was filed on April 17, 2011, under Application No. 13/088,407.
