In January-September 2013 Kazakhstan produced 1.667 trillion tenge (153.7/$1) worth of agricultural products, an increase of 5.5% from the same period last year, the State Agency for Statistics said.
According to statistics, livestock production came to 782.4 billion tenge in value (up 1.5%), crop production to 880.1 billion tenge (up 9.8%).
In the reporting period the number of cattle in the republic edged up by 0.1% year-on-year to 6.325 million head.
In January-September 2013 the number of goats fell by 6.9% to 2.8 million head, pigs by 13.6% to 1.2 million head, sheep by 1.9% to 17.4 million head, poultry by 2.4% to 35.8 million head, while the number of horses grew by 3.4% to 1.8 million head.
