Red Bull looking to buy Premier League soccer club, with Liverpool and Everton on company's radar

October 14, 2013 () – BILLIONAIRE soft drinks firm Red Bull want to buy a Premier League club they can take into the Champions League - with Liverpool and Everton on their radar.

The Austrian-based drinks giant, who already have football teams in Germany, New York, Brazil and Ghana, see owning a top team in England as the next piece in their global jigsaw.

German Ralf Rangnick, who was on Everton's list of potential managers this summer, is heading up the search as part of his role as sporting director at Red Bull Salzburg.

An insider said: "Red Bull want a club to take into the Champions League. Both Everton and Liverpool interest them - the price of buying a club and cost of taking it further are being checked."
