Taylor Morrison's Houston division wins nine awards at Houston's Best PRISM Awards, including top honors for Best Production Builder, Town Home Product Design, Volume Builder Grand Award; homebuilder listed as finalist for eleven other awards

HOUSTON , October 10, 2013 (press release) – Taylor Morrison’s Houston division walked away from this year’s Houston’s Best PRISM Awards with a total of nine wins.

The Houston home builder was named “Best Production Builder” for the third time in the last four years.

Taylor Morrison also took home top honors for “Rookie Onsite Salesperson of the Year” when Kate Clark’s name was announced during the special event, held at the Marriott Sugar Land Town Square.

Sponsored by the Greater Houston Builders Association, the PRISM awards are considered the most prestigious homebuilding awards handed out each year.

“It was truly a special night and a testament to the hard work our team puts in on a daily basis,” said Jonathan White, president of Taylor Morrison’s Houston division. “Our division works hard to put the customer first everyday. When you accomplish that goal, everything else falls into place.”

Several Taylor Morrison models were spotlighted for design. The builder won the “Town Home Product Design” award for the Calistoga floor plan at the Enclave at Lake Pointe in Sugar Land.

The Positano model in Avalon at Cinco Ranch in Katy took home top honors for best kitchen from a volume builder. The Portofino model in Avalon at Riverstone in Fort Bend was recognized for both best family room and best outdoor living space for a volume builder as well as for best product design for a home more than $500,000. Avalon at Riverstone also garnered an award for model home park design.

Rounding out the awards for Taylor Morrison was a business-to-consumer award for best direct mail piece.

The home builder was also a finalist for 11 other PRISM awards including best interior merchandising of a model home (in three categories), best marketing campaign, best sales brochure and best website, among others.

But the biggest and most coveted award for the team was the grand finale - the “Volume Builder Grand Award” awarded to the best production builder in Houston.
