Production of processed meat and such by-products in Ukraine reportedly up 3% in August compared with July; production up 7.3% year-over-year

October 9, 2013 () – In August, meat-processing enterprises decreased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 3% or 2,097 tons over July to 95,622 tons, a source in the Cabinet of Ministers said.

In August 2013, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 7.3% or 6,527 tons over August 2012.

In January-August 2013, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 13% or 85,908 tons over January-August 2012 to 745,064 tons.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in July, meat-processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 1.2% or 1,147 tons over June to 98,529 tons.

In 2012, production of meat and by-products increased by 0.7% or 7,990 tons over 2011 to 1,083,274 tons.
