Ukraine has harvested 39.3 million tons of grain and grain legumes so far this year, harvesting from 11.9 million hectares at yield of 32.9 centners/hectare, government says

October 4, 2013 () – As at October 4, the agricultural enterprises harvested 39.3 million tons of grain and grain legumes, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food Supplies has said.

The agricultural enterprises harvested the crops from 11.9 million hectares at the yield of 32.9 centners per hectare.

Early crops in the amount of 32.5 million tons were harvested from 10.49 million hectares.

Agricultural enterprises have harvested 105,000 tons of millet from 76,000 hectares (92% of the outlook) at the yield of 13.7 centners per hectare, and 177,000 tons of buckwheat from 147,000 hectares (80%) at the yield of 12.1 centners per hectare.

Besides, they harvested 6.196 million tons of maize for grain from 1.134 million hectares (23%) at the yield of 54.7 centners per hectare, and 40,000 tons of rice from 6,000 hectares (26%) at the yield of 63.6 centners per hectare.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, as at October 2, agricultural enterprises harvested 37.7 million tons of grain and grain legumes.
