Russia's output of paints, coatings in first eight months of 2013 up 13.8% year-over-year to 235,000 tonnes, while output of chemical, mineral fertilizers down 1.4% to 12.2 million tonnes

September 23, 2013 () – Russian production of chemical and mineral fertilizers from Jan to Aug 2013 declined by 1.4% year-on-year to 12.2 M tonnes, according to the statistics agency Rosstat. For this period, the Aug 2013 fertilizer output rose by 3% annually and 4% monthly. Industries that posted production growths were: paints and coatings (by 13.8% to 235,000 tonnes), chemical fibres and threads (by 2% to 96,000 tonnes), anhydrous ammonia (by 4% to 9.5 M tonnes), plastics (by 13.8% to 4 M tonnes) and synthetic rubber (by 6% to 990,000 tonnes).
