Two employees at an Evans printing plant were hospitalized last week after a flash fire in one of the presses.
According to a Columbia County Fire Rescue incident report, the blaze was reported at 9:16 p.m. Sept. 17 at Quad/Graphics, 4301 Evans to Locks Road.
Claire Ho, the director of corporate communications at the company's Wisconsin headquarters, said workers followed the proper response procedures and the plant's fire suppression system worked to quickly extinguish the fire.
"Two employees were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries, and both are now home," she said.
