ST IVES , June 19, 2013 (press release) –

Leading global coding and marking specialist Linx Printing Technologies has strengthened its presence in Brazil with the appointment of two new distributor partners.

PowerCoding of Sao Paulo will offer the full range of Linx continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers, large character case coders, thermal transfer overprinters and laser coders. PowerCoding was formed by leading, highly experienced figures in the Brazilian coding and marking market specifically to represent Linx in all but the southern states of Brazil.

Vertec Servicos Industriais Ltda will offer Linx CIJ printers and thermal transfer overprinters in the southern states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Parana. The Vertec team have been selling and servicing industrial coding products for over 10 years and are the first point of reference for many end users in the region.

Linx Printing Technologies is a leading global supplier of coders, which are used across many different industries where product identification codes, batch numbers, dates and barcodes are required. All Linx products are designed with low cost of ownership in mind and are distinguished by reliability, robustness and ease of use. Linx printers code and mark millions of items every day, ranging from bottles, packages and cans of consumer goods to pharmaceutical products, cabling, electrical components and car parts.

Linx believes that the choice of printer depends on the application – the materials to be coded, the complexity of coding required, and the operating environment. For this reason the Linx CIJ range, including the award-winning Linx CJ400, comprises several models, as well as a wide range of inks in different colours, to suit specific applications.   Linx SL laser coders assure reliability, with longer laser tube life, less downtime and lower cost.

For coding onto flexible film packaging and labels, the Linx TT Series of thermal transfer overprinters delivers high resolution codes and graphics, while minimising downtime and improving productivity and efficiency.

The Linx IJ355 and IJ375 large character coders offer an ideal solution for high resolution printing onto cartons as a replacement for labels or printed boxes - helping to keep costs low.

Founded over 25 years ago, Linx is based in St Ives, UK and employs more than 300 people globally. Linx’s commitment to the strategically important Brazilian market is underlined by the presence of commercial and support staff based in Sao Paulo to work closely with its distributors. Furthermore, Linx is exhibiting for the first time under its own name, in cooperation with its distributor partners, on the leading Brazilian packaging exhibition Fispal in June 2013.

Andre Sautchuk, Linx Divisional Business Manager - Americas, comments: “We are excited to be working with experienced partners who will help grow our presence in Brazil. We are continually raising the bar with our expectations of our distributors, and this is reflected in the quality of our new distributor partners PowerCoding and Vertec.”
