Ukraine's Income and Tax Ministry proposes introducing an environmental tax on goods in aerosol cans, detergents and household chemicals, fluorescent lamps, polymeric materials, plastics, raw rubber and rubber, and articles made of them.

This is stipulated in a draft bill on amendments to the Ukrainian Tax Code on new tax agents for environmental tax published on the ministry's official Web site on Friday.

In keeping with the bill, tax on goods in aerosol cans should be calculated at a 1% rate from the customs value for imported goods or from the retail price of locally produced goods per each item of package.
