SCA has once again been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index, one of the world’s most prestigious sustainability indexes.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) was launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmarks. The indices are divided into regional indices and evaluate the performance of the world's leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. The indices serve as benchmarks for investors who integrate sustainability considerations into their portfolios.
“We are very pleased that our sustainability work is being recognized in this way. We are proud to once more being included in the index. Sustainability is an essential part of our strategy for growth and value creation for our business as well as for people and nature,” says Kersti Strandqvist, SVP Corporate Sustainability at SCA.
Over 3,000 publicly traded companies, including 800 companies in emerging markets, are invited to report annually on their sustainability practices. In the Europe Index only 177 companies were included.
