– US Patent Issued to BSH Home Appliances on Sept. 10 for "Household appliance including two-piece fascia panel and method of manufacturing the two-piece fascia panel" (North Carolina Inventors)
United States Patent no. 8,530,742, issued on Sept. 10, was assigned to BSH Home Appliances Corp. (Irvine, Calif.).
"Household appliance including two-piece fascia panel and method of manufacturing the two-piece fascia panel" was invented by David Hite (New Bern, N.C.) and Michael Justis (New Bern, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A household appliance having at least one fascia panel. In an exemplary embodiment, the at least one fascia panel may include an electronics housing structured to house electronic components for operating the household appliance, and a cosmetic panel structured to be at least one of mounted and joined with the electronics housing. The cosmetic panel may include one or more interfaces cooperating with the electronic components for operating the dishwasher."
The patent was filed on Nov. 17, 2010, under Application No. 12/947,848.
