WIPO publishes Colgate-Palmolive patent for 'soap bar'

Title of the invention: "SOAP BAR."

Applicants: COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO. (US), Diana Scala (US), Patricia Hall-Puzio (US), Michael Amoafo (US), Perry Cai (CN) and Jeffer Liang (CN).

Inventors: Perry Cai (CN), Jeffer Liang (CN), Diana Scala (US), Patricia Hall-Puzio (US) and Michael Amoafo (US).

According to the abstract* posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "A surfactant free soap bar comprising soap, 0.1 to 2.5% by weight free fatty acid, 3 to 7% by weight talc, and 0.1 to 5% glycerin. The talc can be a macrocrystalline talc having D90?40um and optionally D50?20um or D10?5um. The combination provides increased skin feel and leaves skin looking less dry."

The patent was filed on Feb. 24, 2012 under Application No. PCT/CN2012/071560.
