Tropical, Canary Island beer brewed by Compañia Cervecera de Canarias, S.A. (a subsidiary of SABMiller plc), has chosen Rexam Beverage Can to manufacture its new 50cl serving.
Produced out of Rexam’s Berlin plant, the can will incorporate Thermochromic ink into a totally new design, allowing consumers to select and serve the beer once it has reached optimum drinking temperature.
Fernando Muñoz, Rexam Sales Manager, says of the appointment to manufacturer for Tropical, “Rexam Beverage Can has a long standing relationship with SABMiller and its subsidiaries, and so was the natural choice for Compañia Cervecera de Canarias, S.A. and Tropical. With production scheduled for early June, we expect the new thermochromic cans to be on shelf in Tenerife and Las Palmas in early July 2013.”
Brewed in the Canaries for over 85 years, Tropical is an easy-to-drink lager with a smooth fruity taste and an aromatic hint of malt and hops.
