Sipchem begins construction on 100,000 tonnes/year ethyl acetate, butyl acetate production facility in Jubail, Saudi Arabia

August 5, 2013 (Coatings World) – Sipchem Chemicals Co, a subsidiary of Saudi International Petrochemical Co (Sipchem), began a new 100,000-tonnes/y ethyl acetate and butyl acetate swing production facility in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, which will be used to meet the regional needs and the international demand. International Acetyl Co, a Sipchem affiliate, will supply the acetic acid feedstock, whereas the ethanol feedstock will be imported from global markets.
