Czech Republic-based Papcel Litovel awarded €69M turnkey contract for state paper mill in Shklov, Belarus; construction expected to begin in September

PRAGUE, Czech Republic , July 1, 2013 () – Papcel (Litovel, Czech Republic), paper-making technology manufacturer, has won a large turnkey contract worth EUR 69 mil, CEK 1.8 bil, in Belarus. The contract, concerning a giant state paper mill in Shklov, Belarus, includes the construction and equipment supplies. The design work began in early 2013 and the construction will start in Sep 2013. Besides, Papcel is working on the expedition of a finished line for waste paper processing worth EUR 4.5 mil, nearly CEK 120 mil, to Alexandria, Egypt during 2013. Papcel begins to promote in Turkey among others. It wants to expand into countries of the Persian Gulf, especially in Saudi Arabia. Papcel expects its sales to increase thanks to the contract in Belarus. In 2013 it wants to exceed the sales limit of CEK 1 bil for the first time in its history. In 2014 its sales are expected to reach CEK 1.7 bil. Papcel achieved sales of CEK 894 mil in 2012.
