MOSCOW , July 1, 2013 () – Russia exported 15.495 million tonnes of grain in the period from July 1 of last year to June 25 of this, according to Russian Agriculture Ministry materials Interfax has examined.

Grain exports weighed in at 395,000 tonnes from June 1 to 15, including 195,800 tonnes of wheat, 125,000 tonnes of corn, and 63,000 tonnes of barley.

Grain market experts are of the view that total exports for the agricultural year of July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 could amount to 15.6 million tonnes. They estimate export volume at almost 100,000 tonnes for the last five days.

The Agriculture Ministry initially projected exports at 14.8 million tonnes, then it increased that forecast to 15.4-15.5 million tonnes. Exports are estimated at 18-20 million tonnes for the agri-year that has just arrived - this month to next June.
