Fatal accident at Graphic Packaging's coated unbleached kraft paperboard mill in West Monroe, Louisiana, under investigation; the June 5 incident involved a 37-year-old contract worker, who died after falling through a hole in the roof of a mill building

WEST MONROE, Louisiana , June 7, 2013 () – A man who died after falling through a hole at the Graphic Packaging paper mill in West Monroe has been identified.

Police Maj. Jason Pleasant tells The News-Star (http://tnsne.ws/18TcE7z ) the victim, 37-year-old Alfredo Zavala, was employed as a contractor with Industrial Roofing Co. based in Sterlington.

Trisha Taylor, a Graphic Packaging corporate communications official, said Zavala died after falling through a hole in the roof of a building on the mill's property Wednesday.

The incident remains under investigation.
