ARKLOW, Ireland , May 30, 2013 (press release) – Governments are encouraging us to eat more fruit and this latest range of G81 bespoke punnets from Holfeld has been purposely engineered to realise that ambition with an appealing range in a convenient ready-to serve/eat design that can be used as a healthy dessert served straight from the packaging, at a picnic or with their compact size in children’s school lunchboxes.

The new packaging blended with 85% recycled PET has been designed with food processors and retailers in mind – the complete fruit dessert with cream and ‘spork’ (spoon) feature will give manufacturers an ideal opportunity to create identity and consumer recognition . The unique all in one dessert will differentiate products from competing products on the supermarket shelves. Retailers will be looking to Wimbledon and summer sports to give this product an additional sales boost as the warmer weather gives rise to alfresco eating.

Developments are moving in the direction of convenient preparation of meals for busy households leading hectic lives as well as convenience desserts that form part of a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet. Significantly the all in one berry and cream cavity design obviates buying tubs of fresh cream with a short shelf life and avoids the need to dispense the fruit into other table top containers ideal for picnics, lunchboxes and table desserts. Whilst the two and three cavity berry packs are specifically designed with taste preference and the wide choice of berry fruits in mind.

Busy households will benefit from the convenience mixed or single fruit desserts that encourage young and old alike to eat healthier foods. The new range comprises 4 designs of two and three cavity punnets for mixed or single berry fruits. Their compact size optimises on domestic refrigerator storage space.
