May 31, 2013 () – Online book news company booktrade.info reported on Thursday that book publisher Simon and Schuster Children's Books UK has acquired the UK and commonwealth rights in The Boy on the Wooden Box, a memoir written by the late Leon Leyson, one of the youngest Holocaust survivors on Oskar Schindler's List.

Schindler reportedly saved the lives of Leyson, his parents and two of his four siblings.

Leyson's The Boy on the Wooden Box describes his survival from the age of ten through the Holocaust during the German invasion of Poland in the Second World War, when his family was forced to move to the ghetto in Krakow.

The Boy on the Wooden Box will be published in August 2013.
