Serbian agricultural holding company Elixir Group has invested 30 million euro ($39.2 million) in a new fertiliser plant in the western town of Sabac, local media reported on Tuesday.
The plant, which is due to open in the autumn, will have a capacity to produce 300,000 tonnes of fertilisers annually, news portal Tanjugbiz.rs reported, quoting the company's public relations manager Branislav Maricic.
Apart from building a brand new, environmentally-safe fertiliser plant employing the latest technology and modern warehouses, the company also upgraded the existing storage tanks for sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and ammonia, Maricic said.
Elixir Group (www.elixirgroup.rs), headquartered in Sabac, is active in three fields of agriculture - fodder production, wholesale and retail of agriculture goods and import and trading with additives for animal feed.
