Average bottle of UK wine now costs £5.11 following government tax increases, the highest price of anywhere in Europe, according to Nielsen data

BELFAST, Ireland , May 21, 2013 () – WINE prices are at their highest but we are still willing to spend more, experts have said. An average bottle of wine now costs £5.11 after Government tax increases and crossed the £5 price barrier last June, according to data by market research company Nielsen. UK wine drinkers now pay more than anywhere else in Europe.
