Chiquita Brands International Inc. and its joint venture partner Danone have agreed to sell the Chiquita smoothies division — Danone Chiquita Fruits — to Germany-based Gebrüder Bagusat for an undisclosed amount, The Packer reported April 5.
Danone and Chiquita want to “mobilize their human and financial resources on their core businesses,” a Chiquita spokeswoman said.
