Fusion Paperboard Connecticut LLC has announced a US$40-per-ton increase on two of its coated recycled paperboard grades to take effect with shipments after April 1, according to a company letter to customers dated March 1.
The price hikes apply to the InverKote and InverFreez brands produced at Fusion Paperboard’s mill in Sprague, Connecticut.
In addition, the company is raising its sheeting service charge at the Sprague mill. Effective April 1, a service charge of $115/ton will be applied on sheeted coated recycled board, according to the announcement.
In the letter, which was signed by company Vice President of Sales/Marketing Hank Somer, the coated recycled paperboard price increase is partially attributed to higher costs for production, including for energy and raw materials.
