Alabama Forestry Commission invites proposals for assistance in providing training for prescribed burn managers, says request has been made necessary by staff, budget cuts

The Alabama Forestry Commission (AFC) is responsible for implementing the Alabama Prescribed Burning Act (Section 9-13-270,1975 Code of Alabama) and related regulations. Part of that responsibility is to provide training for interested prescribed burn managers and continuing education for Certified Prescribed Burn Managers. Due to reductions in budgets and staffing, the AFC is requesting proposals to assist in presenting this workshop and training materials.
Persons interested in becoming a contractor for this project must submit their formal proposal in writing to the Alabama Forestry Commission at the address below by the close of business on Friday, February I5, 2013. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. Please share this information with anyone you feel may be interested in bidding on this proposal. The AFC reserves the right to refuse any or all bids.
