Average US electricity cost for industrial sector unchanged in November from a year ago at US$0.0653/kWh; transportation sector jumped 3.7% to US$0.103/kWh: EIA

The average cost of electricity fell slightly in the Residential and Commercial sectors compared to November 2011, with average revenues decreasing 0.3 percent and 1.0 percent, respectively. The average cost of electricity in the Industrial sector was unchanged and average revenues increased 3.7 percent in the Transportation sector. The volume of retail sales of electricity increased in the Residential and Commercial sectors by 4.2 percent and 2.0 percent, respectively, while volume was down 2.4 percent and 1.6 percent, respectively, in the Industrial and Transportation sectors.
