– For the first time, Ireland will be allowed to export sheep meat to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Global Meat News reported Jan. 9.
This agreement follows a decision by the UAE in summer 2012 to lift the age restrictions on Irish beef, as well as an agreement between the two countries on a veterinary certificate allowing for the export of Irish poultry to the UAE.
