NEW YORK , December 21, 2012 () – Shell has restarted its olefins Norco complex in Louisiana, USA following an unexpected outage in the first week of Dec 2012. The complex is home to two crackers, which has a combined ethylene capacity of 1.42 M tonnes/y. Production at Norco was halted because Shell could not deliver ethylene out of the plant due to a pipeline leak.
