WASHINGTON , December 21, 2012 (press release) –

The average cost of electricity fell slightly in all sectors compared to October 2011, with total average revenues decreasing just 0.7 percent from the previous year. The volume of retail sales of electricity increased slightly in most sectors, but decreased 2 percent in the industrial sector. While retail sales in the residential sector increased 2.2 percent from last year, average revenues in that sector decreased slightly by 0.4 percent.
