LOS ANGELES , December 17, 2012 () – Luxury perfume brands are fearing that the European Union is about to introduce measures that they say could cripple the US$25 billion global industry in the name of protecting consumers against allergies, Thomson Reuters reported Dec. 16.

Brand officials fear that the new laws could severely curb or ban natural ingredients used in vintage best-sellers and put some perfume makers out of business.
