LOS ANGELES , December 14, 2012 () – Monster Beverage Corp. CEO Rodney Sacks said there is no science linking 18 deaths to energy drinks sold by both his company and competitor 5-Hour Energy. Business Insider reported Dec. 14.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is currently investigating a possible link between these deaths and energy drinks.

Monster Beverage is being attacked with false information not unlike how the Coca-Cola Co. was attacked in the early 1900s for having caffeine in its formulation, Sacks said.
