MWV Rigesa recognized for two awards by the Brazilian Flexographic Technical Assn.; Valinhos, Pacajus, Blumenau packaging mills honored

– MWV Rigesa, the MeadWestvaco Corporation business unit in Brazil, was awarded in two categories of the 20th edition of the Prof. Sérgio Vay Flexo Quality Award, organized by the Brazilian Flexographic Technical Association (ABFLEXO). The packaging factories in Valinhos (São Paulo state), Pacajus (Ceará state) and Blumenau (Santa Catarina state) were honored for their projects turned both to the fruit production sector and to portable electronics.
The Valinhos Packaging Mill came in first place in the “Line to 4 color” category, with package Delight Gold (Mango). In the same category, the Pacajus unit came in third place, with product Gelágua de mesa EGM 30. “This is the unit’s first award for four color printing, also for the “Martin”, the new machinery used in the projects,” said Amildo Fante, Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast.
In the “5 or more color printing” category, in turn, the Valinhos Packaging Unit came in 2 nd place for the Papaya with Rio characters and the Blumenau Packaging Factory came in 3 rd place, with the Looney Tunes Apples.
Apart from the award, MWV Rigesa was also honored for being in the ranking of 20 companies that won most Flexo Quality Awards.
