Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box presented its innovations at the Vinitech international exhibition in Bordeaux from 27 to 29 November 2012.
Clients and visitors explored the 140 m2 stand featuring the latest Bag-in-Box® products, including a new filling machine and a new handle applicator machine.
The filling machine BIB 700 Evolutive with its Pouch-up® module was presented to the public for the first time. Efficient, reliable and flexible, the BIB 700 Evolutive is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized producers who want to set up an automatic machine, or even those who are going into Pouch-Up® packaging.
A second machine, the new automatic handle applicator Vitop SYNCRO 35, was also unveiled at Vinitech. It offers a ground-breaking cycle rate and ease of use due to its handle feed system which are packed in rolls of 3,200 pieces at a time. The SYNCRO 35 also enables handles to be placed at an angle of -45° to 45° and can be adapted to various box formats.
The Pouch-Up®, the new packaging which has been very popular in the wine and cocktail markets for over a year is now also available in a square shape with two gussets. The Pouch-Up® is currently available as a 1L, 1.5 L and 3 L pack with a single gusset at the base, and is becoming ever more popular by increasing the range of formats available. The two current designs with a single tap will be joined by new formats with a double gusset.
Finally, a new connector Vitop® Easy connector was presented at the exhibition. Even simpler to use and particularly easy to clean, the Easy connector has been designed to enable quick, economic and reliable connection to the distribution systems used in bars and restaurants.
