Man SE to introduce short-time work starting Jan. 14 due to declining sales; around 3,500 employees will be affected in Munich as well as 1,800 employees in Salzgitter, Germany

LOS ANGELES , December 4, 2012 () – Beginning in 2013, Man SE will introduce short-time work due to declining sales, Dow Jones Newswires reported Dec. 4.

Around 3,500 employees will be affected in Munich as well as 1,800 employees in Salzgitter, Germany. 

Short-time work is a government initiative in which the government subsidizes employees' wages for reduced working hours. Man SE is scheduled to begin the program on Jan. 14.
