Canada's Mattamy Homes appoints former Market Place Communities President, CEO Mike Nuessle as Arizona division president

TEMPE, Arizona , December 3, 2012 (press release) – Mattamy Homes, a leading North American land development and homebuilding firm, is preparing for exciting growth in Arizona with the hiring of a talented and experienced leadership team.

Mike Nuessle is Mattamy's new Arizona Division President, responsible for all aspects of the company's business in the state. Mike has been a leader in the homebuilding industry in Arizona for more than 35 years. Most recently he was President & CEO of Market Place Communities, a regional real estate investment company. Previous to that he was the Phoenix Division President for Pulte Homes, and also led the operations at Sivage-Thomas Homes and New American Homes.

Ryan Huffman is a Professional Engineer who brings more than 17 years of direct experience to Mattamy in the role of Vice President, Land Acquisition & Development, Arizona Division. Ryan was most recently with the Pulte Group, where he led the land-acquisition, -planning, -construction and -investment functions for a number of years. Previously Ryan was responsible for construction services management at Entranco Inc. and was with the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Donice Wendeln is a Certified Public Accountant who joins Mattamy as Vice President, Finance, Arizona Division. She brings strong financial and business acumen to the company, having served in various financial leadership roles within the homebuilding industry for 23 years. Donice has had roles at Market Place Communities and Pulte Homes (where she was VP of Finance and VP of Operations), and at other regional and national homebuilders in Arizona.
