World Intellectual Property Organization publishes Momentive Specialty Chemicals patent for pressure sensitive adhesive copolymer compositions

Title of the invention: "PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COPOLYMER COMPOSITIONS."

Applicants: MOMENTIVE SPECIALTY CHEMICALS RESEARCH BELGIUM SA (BE), MOMENTIVE SPECIALTY CHEMICALS INC. (US), HAVAUX Nathalie (BE), SIMAL Francois (BE) and KAMENEVA Olga (BE).

Inventors: Nathalie Havaux (BE), Francois Simal (BE) and Olga Kameneva (BE).

According to the abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "This invention relates to a copolymer composition comprising vinyl ester of 2-ethyl hexanoic acid (VEHA), and particularly to pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions based on VEHA reacted with (meth) acrylate monomers. The present adhesive compositions provide a film with high cohesion and adhesion values, and more particularly to pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions based on VEHA reacted with (meth) acrylate monomers and VeoVa 10. The present adhesive compositions provide a film with high cohesion and adhesion values with Peel on Teflon of at least 2N/inch."

The patent was filed on May 10 under Application No. PCT/EP2012/002070.
