VALMIERA, Latvia , November 9, 2012 (press release) – On the 1st of November Byko-Lat has started its new impregnation line at its Valmiera site in Latvia. Byko-Lat’s annual impregnation capacity has increased to 145 000 m3 making Byko-Lat the largest impregnation company in the Baltic States.

- The main reason for the capacity increase is to have shorter lead times to our customers in Europe, says Valts Kurpnieks, Managing Director at Byko Lat.

- The challenging economical environment is pushing everybody to hold smaller stocks so we see that the increased capacity gives us a competitive advantage, says Sampsa Auvinen, CEO of Norvik Timber Industries.

Byko Lat has also at its Valmiera site a planning & further processing factory, window and door factory and a prefabricated house factory. Byko-Lat’s garden furniture production is located at the Cesis factory. All production is sold to more than 25 countries worldwide.

Byko Lat is part of Norvik Timber Industries.
