Malaysian tissue manufacturer NTPM Holdings investing US$19.1M in factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, says first stage of business will start from 2014 to produce toilet paper, facial tissues from semi-finished paper rolls

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia , November 22, 2012 () – Tissue paper manufacturer NTPM Holdings Bhd is investing about US$19.1 million (RM58.6 million) in Vietnam to make semi-finished paper rolls. In its filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, NTPM said the new factory will take up 100,000 sqm at Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The land is being leased for US$4.95 million. The first stage of business activity, which starts from 2014, will see to the manufacture of toilet paper and facial tissues from the semi-finished paper rolls. Subsequently, the company will move further upstream to process the products from paper pulp and recycled paper pulp.
