SRI LANKA , November 5, 2012 () – Ceylon Tobacco Company PlC (CTC) has filed legal action challenging new government regulations which require compulsory pictorial health warnings to be printed on all cigarette packs.

CTC's case is currently before the Court of Appeal and cites Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena, as well the National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol as co-respondents to the action.
