Harvesting, haulage resumes at Gunns' Tasmanian softwood plantations after receiver KordaMentha enters agreement to supply northern sawmill, restarts distribution through Burnie Port

HOBART, Australia , October 30, 2012 () – GUNNS' receiver has breathed life back into the company's softwood operation.

KordaMentha yesterday announced harvesting and haulage of Gunns' Tasmanian softwood plantations had resumed.

Receiver Bryan Webster, from KordaMentha, said Gunns had entered into an agreement to supply softwood plantation timber to a northern sawmill.

It had restarted the distribution of softwood plantation timber through Burnie Port.

It also committed to additional softwood supplies into the Gunns-owned Bell Bay sawmill.
