Man SE announces Lars Himmer as CEO of company's Eastern European sales region; previous CEO Jorg Mommertz to take over management of Region CIS

MUNICH , October 22, 2012 (press release) – CEOs of Sales Regions CIS and Eastern Europe exchange positions in the course of job rotation.

With effect from November 1, 2012 Lars Himmer (43) will take over as CEO of MAN's Sales Region Eastern Europe. At the same time, the previous CEO of Region Eastern Europe, Jörg Mommertz (54), will move to take over management of Region CIS.

Lars Himmer had been responsible for MAN's Sales Region CIS since 2010. Under his management, MAN expanded its position on the Russian market and in 2011, for the second year in succession, was No. 1 amongst the European commercial vehicle importers for the segments trucks over 6 tonnes and touring coaches.

Jörg Mommertz began his career at MAN in 1991 as Service Manager and has held several management positions in Belgium, Sweden and Denmark. In 2007 he became the CEO of Region Eastern Europe, where for the past five years he has consistently expanded the network. MAN has now been holding its own as market leader in Poland for eight years.

Jörg Mommertz (54) had been responsible for MAN´s Sales region CIS since 2007 and will move to Sales Region CIS as CEO from November 1st 2012 on.
