ARKHANGELSK. Oct 12 (Interfax) - OJSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (RTS: ACBK) has signed an 8.5-million-euro contract with German company Voith for equipment supplies to reconstruct the wire section of paperboard machine number one, the Russian factory said in a press release.
Voith plans to deliver the equipment by the end of next year, and Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill will finish up the reconstruction in the first quarter of 2014.
The installation of a top forming device and short circulation system equipment for the paperboard machine will improve product quality and raise the share of semi chemical pulp in the composition of cardboard.
The Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill occupies 65% of the Russian tag paper market. Its chief shareholder is Austrian company Pulp Mill Holding GmbH (97.42%).
