Hhgregg hiring roughly 1,000 sales associates for its 223 US stores this holiday season, says it will convert positions to permanent jobs after holidays

In anticipation of the holiday season, Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics leader h.h.gregg (NYSE:HGG), is looking to hire qualified sales associates for its 223 stores this fall. The company is accepting applications through the end of September for associates to assist in all departments.
The growing electronics chain is seeking to hire approximately 1,000 sales associates by early October. Associates hired in advance of the holiday season will be offered permanent full-time and part-time sales positions.
“The holiday season is a busy time of year for h.h.gregg, and we are looking for friendly associates to help ensure a pleasant experience for all of our customers,” said Donna Desilets, vice president of human resources, h.h.gregg. “We welcome energetic applicants who like working with people. We will be offering permanent full time and part time sales opportunities post holiday.”
Applicants must have friendly, outgoing personalities and flexible schedules. Sales experience in appliances or electronics is a plus. Upon hiring, seasonal associates will receive two weeks of dedicated training focused on product knowledge and selling skills, as well as h.h.gregg’s policies and procedures.
