LOS ANGELES , July 27, 2012 () – Hershey Co. CEO John P. Bilbrey said his company might need to generate US$1 billion in annual revenue from acquisitions to reach the company’s goal of US$10 billion in sales within the next five years, Bloomberg reported July 27.

Hershey is looking to surpass Mars Inc. to become the largest confectionary maker in North America, while increasing international sales by an average of 20% a year.

Hershey had sales of US$6.1 billion in 2011.
