RPC Group PLC's Blackburn division supplied U.K.'s J Sainsbury PLC with 760-ml polyethylene terephthalate jars filled with vintage-style candies and snacks in honor of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June, according to a July 10 online report from Plastics & Rubber Weekly.
The clear polymer jars allow for full visibility of the product inside. Each package is topped with a gold 89-mm cap, also provided by RPC, this time by its Halstead operations, PRW reported. Sainsbury’s Jubilee range includes 14 heritage items such as jars of vintage Liquorice Allsorts and Dolly Mixtures, as well as preserves, soft drinks and beer.
