Barrier Plastics, Inc., a four-year-old company that is the sole U.S. manufacturer of Quoral BR Baritainers, is proud to announce it is launching U.S. production of its sustainable packaging products, and beginning production of a new UN Rated 20-liter jerrican that will continue its efforts to contain corrosive and potentially dangerous chemicals.
Barrier Plastics, based in California, is the sole North American manufacturer of Baritainers, a sustainable packaging alternative that avoids the potential failure of fluorinated packaging or lined steel containers while reducing a product's carbon footprint. Baritainers are effective due to a combination of Quoral® Barrier Resin (BR) and a proprietary production process. By processing under well-defined conditions in specially adapted extrusion equipment, Polyamide (PA) is stretched into thin lamellas within a High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) matrix creating a mono-layer barrier. The discontinuous lamellas of PA act as an effective barrier to various chemicals. The new 20L Baritainer, featuring a brand new design with a wider 70mm neck, incorporates 5% Quoral BR50.

This recyclable 20-liter Baritainer® jerrican has an actual 5.2 gallon capacity, with a height of 14'3," width of 10.1'' and length of 10.9." It comes with a 70mm tamper-evident screw cap closure (EPDM gasket) with 3/4 NPT Center Reducer. The 20L Baritainer® jerrican comes standard in white, blue and natural colors, but custom colors are available.
