Total U.S. kraft paper shipments in April up 0.8% year-over-year to 134,700 tons; total inventory at 72,300 tons: AF&PA

WASHINGTON , May 18, 2012 (press release) – The American Forest & Paper Association released its April 2012 Kraft Paper Sector Report yesterday. Total Kraft paper shipments were 134.7 thousand tons, an increase of 0.8% compared to April 2011. Total inventory for April was 72.3 thousand tons. Total Bleached Kraft shipments were up over last April.

The American Forest & Paper Association is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, packaging and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
